Our Kava root grows in the rich, volcanic soil of the Vanuatu Islands in the South Pacific, and is considered the best Kava in the world. Unlike commercially cultivated Kava, which is plantation-grown with agricultural chemicals, our Kava roots are grown according to ancient tradition in chemical-free village gardens which we have visited in-person and approved. Our roots are indeed organically grown, but cannot be officially "certified" as such because of the extreme remoteness of the villages. We boycott all wild-harvested Kava. Wild-growing varieties of Kava are very scarce, and because of senseless harvesting are in danger of extinction. This is why we use only sustainably cultivated Kava to make our extract.

Herb Pharm's Kava is prepared from the whole rhizome & root (never peel, stem or leaf) of 4 to 8 year-old Piper methysticum plants, and is extracted using only pharmaceutical-grade alcohol (never industrial solvents).

Our liquid extract allows the user to fully experience the aroma and flavor of Kava, and assures optimal absorption and assimilation of Kava constituents by the body. This allows prompt experience of Kava's relaxing, stress-reducing properties.

Shake well before using

Add one full squeeze of the dropper bulb to 2 oz of water or juice, two to five times per day. Best taken between meals.

Caution: FDA advises that a potential risk of rare, but severe, liver injury may be associated with Kava. Ask a healthcare professional before use if you have, or have had liver problems, frequently use alcoholic beverages, or are taking any medication. Stop use and see a doctor if liver symptoms occur (unusual fatigue, abdominal pain, appetite loss, dark urine, pale stools, yellow eyes or skin). Not for use by persons under 18 years of age, or by pregnant or breastfeeding women. Do not take with alcoholic beverages. Excessive use may briefly impair ability to drive, or operate machinery.
