Although called vanilla paste by pastry chefs, vanilla paste actually has the consistency of honey. Vanilla paste is used as an alternative to vanilla beans in recipes. Use in cheesecake, ice cream, or any recipe where the texture, taste, and visual appeal of real vanilla beans is desired. Vanilla paste is also wonderful in smoothies, yogurt, and oatmeal.
Pour or scoop one tablespoon of vanilla paste to equal one vanilla bean. Can also be used in equal measure to replace vanilla extract in recipes.
Water, organic cane sugar, alcohol, organic vanilla bean extractives, gum tragacanth, vanilla bean powder.
Wipe off lip of jar and store in cool, dry place.
