Home to the big leaf "Dayeh" tea plant varietal and famous Puer teas, it is well known for its ethnic diversity, festivals and mountains. Grown at one of the few Certified Organic tea gardens in the region.
The Tuocha refers to a family of bowl shaped compressed teas, commonly available as green, black or Puer Tuocha.
In making Green Tuocha, mature tea leaves are selected in summer, gently roasted, sun-dried, steamed, and then shaped into small bowls. Each (3 grams size) Tuocha is wrapped in cotton paper for convenience in storing and tea preparation.
Vegetable sweetness, full bodied brew with a pleasant aftertaste. Ideal to pair with savory and slightly spicy foods.
Unwrap the cotton paper on Tuocha and brew in eight ounces water at 190F for four minutes. Provides at least three re-infusions.
